Online options will become available soon through this partnership.

On this page you will find all of the information to get the most from your trip to the Island Resort & Casino. The particulars include details about all the casino gambling, sports betting, and online gambling options, plus promotions and rewards. We also have an overview of the entertainment, dining and hotel options.

History of the Island Resort & Casino

The history of the Island Resort & Casino is linked to the history of the Hannahville Indian Community. This community was formed in 1833 when members of the Potawatomi Tribe, led by Methodist missionaries Hannah and Peter Markman, formed the Hannahville Indian mission. A century passed and the small community had just 134 members in 1942 and still had no electricity or running water in 1965.

A bingo hall opened in 1981, with the Hannahville Casino opening its doors in 1985. Renamed the Chip-In Casino in 1985, several expansions followed over the years. The current incarnation of the casino opened in 1998, although the site is continually being added to year on year.

Slots at Island Resort & Casino

There are over 1,200 slots on the casino floor at the Island Resort & Casino. This large selection features games from renowned manufacturers like IGT, Bally and Aristocrat. Reel slots and the newest branded video slots are available to play from penny denomination and up. High limit slot gambling is in a separate area. You can also enjoy “drinks on tap.” This is an electronic system that allows you to order drinks from the machine while you play.

Games include Dragon Link and Lightning Link from Aristocrat. These games offer a series of progressive jackpots linked across a series of cabinets — plus the popular hold and spin bonus features. Other popular Aristocrat titles include the Buffalo slots and Walking Dead themed games.

Other slots featured on the Island Resort website include the entertaining Flintstones game. This brings the quirky stone age family to life in a casino setting via themed bonus features. Jackpot Party is entertaining, with the chance to win a prize in the tens of thousands of dollars if you are lucky enough to trigger the Super Jackpot prize.

You can locate the games on the interactive slot-finder map, which is available on the Island Casino app.

Table games at Island Resort

All the classic table games and several entertaining variations and side-bets are available at Island Resort. Your options include blackjack, craps, Spanish 21, three card poker, Ultimate Texas Hold ’em, roulette and Let It Ride. You can play table games from 10 a.m. daily right through to 2 a.m. on weekdays and later on weekends.

All of the games offer a range of limits. For example, you can play blackjack for stakes between $5 and $500, while roulette is playable at stakes between $3 and $100. Electronic table games appear among the slots for even more options.

Island Casino poker room

The poker room is open five days a week and features both cash and tournament games. This smoke-free room features both table-side food and a cocktail service. Poker cash games are available on request at any time the poker room is open, with blind limits changing from table to table.

Tournament players can enjoy the weekly tournaments, which are held nightly. You can enter satellite tournaments to win tickets for the bigger buy-in events. Check out the “special” tournament schedule, which offers a diverse range of playing styles and payouts.

BetAmerica Sportsbook

A new retail sportsbook in association with BetAmerica opened in September 2020. BetAmerica, which operates under the umbrella of Churchill Downs, will provide all of the sports betting action at the casino.

You can bet on the pro sports leagues, college games and other national and international sports at this sportsbook.

Online gambling options

As part of the agreement between the Island Resort Casino and BetAmerica, both online sports betting and casino gambling will be available. The casino section will have slots, video poker and virtual table games. Many of the slots are online versions of the games you can play live at the Island Resort.

These will be accessible through an app and are open to players who are 21 or older. To access the casino and sports betting options, you need to be within Michigan state lines.

Island Resort & Casino promotions and rewards

All visitors to the Island Resort and Casino can join the “Island Club Rewards Program.” This is a loyalty program that rewards you based on your overall spending (including gambling) at the venue. Every time you play, you earn loyalty points. For example, you receive one point for every $2 you stake on slots or for every $4 you stake on video poker.

This rewards program is tiered. The more points you earn, the higher the level of the club you can reach. The levels are island, pearl, gold, ruby and platinum. As you move through those levels, you get bigger discounts at restaurants and stores. Other benefits include member only benefits and promotions, assigned hosts, preferred check-ins and priority seating.

As well as those benefits, you can also directly redeem the points you have earned. Every 100 points you earn gets you $1. You can redeem points at golf shops, food outlets, retail shops, the hotel and the Drift Spa, and for gas, merchandise and show ticket registration.

Many of the other promotions at the casino are seasonal. For example, members who are 55 or older can enjoy a seniors’ day. An hourly draw will see those members win their age in cash. Check out the casino website for the latest announced promotions. Service veterans can take advantage of Tribute Tuesdays.

Island Resort and Casino Hotel

The hotel at the Island Resort & Casino in Michigan features 326 guest rooms or suites. Each room features large screen televisions with complimentary cable services and comfortable seating areas. Premium amenities at the hotel include whirlpool tubs, kitchenettes, plush robes and deluxe bath products.

While at the hotel, you can partake in a spa experience — or relax in the saltwater pool or the hot tub. Take advantage of the “Game and Stay Resort Package,” where you will receive $20 toward a meal and $20 for gambling.

During your stay, you can also take advantage of the championship golf course on site. This is ideal for both a personal holiday or a business trip, offering concierge level service.

Entertainment

Club 41 is where the daily entertainment takes place and is open to all visitors to the casino. This venue plays host to comedy nights and local live bands. This is the place to go if you want to dance the night away.
