Disclaimer: Circa Sportsbook is not currently available in Michigan. This review and bonus offer are speculative based on Circa Sportsbook in other states, and will be updated after the site’s launch in MI.
Circa Sports is an up and coming name on the US betting scene. Based in Las Vegas and part of the Circa Casino family, this bookmaker is aiming to take sports betting back to the “way it should be.” With a strong focus on customer service and a “by the players, for the players” strategy, Circa is already making a splash in Nevada and Colorado.
Ahead of a potential Circa launch in Michigan, we’ve picked out some of the things we know it does well. In writing this Circa Sports review, we found a host of interesting unique benefits. From vig-bonus bets and prize draws to “mile high” betting limits and intuitive software, everything is set up to serve customers at all levels. To explain all of this and more, here’s our take on what Circa Sports Michigan might offer.
Circa Sportsbook bonus offer in Michigan
When a CEO buys 2,000 airline tickets and offers to fly sports bettors from across the US to Nevada, you’ve got to take notice. Following the reopening of Las Vegas after the 2020 COVID-19 lockdowns, Circa Sports CEO Derek Stevens did exactly that. Aiming to give his Vegas casinos a timely boost, Stevens held a prize draw that gave 2,000 people the chance to visit Sin City for free.
Why is this relevant? Well, ahead of Circa Sports going live in Michigan, this promotion should be seen as a statement of intent. Circa is a relative newbie in Vegas compared with the likes of Wynn and Sands. Stevens knows this, which is why he wanted to make a splash with the ticket giveaway.
If he’s willing to do that in Nevada, he’ll do something similar in Michigan. Circa Sports has a budding reputation online, but it’s not yet in the same bracket at William Hill, Bet365 and DraftKings et al. This tells us that the Circa Sports Michigan welcome bonus will break the mold. How? We can’t say for sure right now. But we wouldn’t be surprised if there was a prize draw of some kind.
Then, of course, there’s scope for standard sports betting bonuses. A bonus bet offer is the most likely, but a deposit multiplier is also possible. For something a little different, Circa might choose to implement a cashback promo or no-lose bonus. These are all tried and tested methods for attracting newbies.
In our opinion, Circa Sports will use at least one of these, but that won’t be the end of it. To stand out from the crowd, Stevens could authorize a giveaway. This would give Circa a selling point and, in turn, more value for you. That makes the Circa Sports welcome bonus an interesting proposition and one you should look out for if and when it goes live in Michigan.

Ongoing promotions at Circa Sportsbook
Making a splash is clearly the raison d’être at Circa Sports HQ. We expect this ethos to carry through into the monthly promo schedule. Evidence of this comes courtesy of its Nevada operation. When the Las Vegas sportsbook opened its doors, vig-bonus bets were a main draw for newbies. By removing any additional costs, the bookmakers were able to give first-timers more value for their money.
We’d love to see this promotion available in Michigan. Although vig-bonus bets are, fundamentally, a spin on prize multipliers (because you win more for less), they’d create yet another selling point for Circa. Again, as it will be with Circa’s welcome bonus, the traditional will sit alongside the innovative.
For every unique offer this operator comes up with, there will be a classic promotion to go along with it. Looking at the top US online sportsbooks, reload bonuses, bonus bets, enhanced odds and no-lose deals are common. Circa will almost certainly feature all of these. So, if you are interested in what this operator has to offer, you can be confident there will be plenty of ongoing value when it goes live.
How to create an account at Circa Sportsbook
You’ll need to be at least 21 years old and located in Michigan to become a Circa Sports customer. This is to comply with state sports betting laws. When you follow our Circa Sports sign-up link, you’ll be prompted to enter your details. You’ll then have to verify your identity using your Social Security number and ID documents.
Additionally, you’ll have to enable Circa’s geolocation software. This is a necessary part of the registration process and using the site. Without allowing the software to confirm your location, you won’t be able to bet. It’s as simple as that.
Downloading the Circa Sports app
When the Circa Sports app goes live in Michigan, we’ll provide you with a secure link to the registration page. By using our link, you’ll skip directly to the correct site and unlock all the best offers. So, if you want to join Circa Sports, make sure you check back on a regular basis and we’ll give you the best way to download the app.
Circa Sports app review
Logical and sequential — those are the two adjectives we’d use to describe the Circa Sports app. The app itself is available for iOS and Android devices. From what’s already available in Nevada, we can see that moving through the betting process will be linear. From a starting point on the homepage, you’ll be able to scroll through a menu of options to access odds for any sport you’re interested in.
From there, the menu disappears, and the latest betting lines will be displayed in the center of the page. In our opinion, the decision to use a white background is inspired. All too often we see mobile sportsbooks with overly ornate interfaces. Fancy color schemes are fine, but they can make it tricky to find what you’re looking for.
With the Circa app, everything is there in plain sight thanks, in part, to the white background. Even if it’s not the most inspiring color, it’s fresh and, most importantly, it maximizes the legibility of the odds tables. Working in tandem with the aesthetics are retractable tabs.
Tap and view the odds you want
As you scroll down the odds page, each new day is separated by a header. Next to the header is a small arrow that allows you to minimize that day’s odds. Being able to retract certain page elements is great because you can hide anything you don’t need. This, in turn, improves the search process.
When it comes time to place a bet, all you have to do is tap the odds you like. This adds that bet to your slip in much the same way you add items to an online shopping cart. Once you’re ready to confirm the bet, you can call up the slip (it slides over the top of the odds tables) and enter your stake.
Just before you lock in the bet, you can review the odds and your potential returns. Then, when you’re ready, hit “place bet” and you’re done. Overall, the Circa Sports app does a fantastic job of walking you through the betting process. From the first step (finding a sport) to the last (placing the bet), everything is laid out in a logical and sequential order. For newbies and novices, this is perfect.
Circa online sportsbook features
Circa Sports’ website works in virtually the same way as the app. The only two differences are the color scheme (it’s black and white, instead of blue and white) and the fact that each part of the betting process is on display at all times. In other words, you don’t have to click on X to reveal Y. Instead, you start with the menu of options on the left of the page, then move to the center where the odds are before finishing on the right.
One other point to note is that the website is optimized for all devices. When you adjust the size of your browsing window, page elements such as the bet slip will resize or hide from view in order to keep the odds front and center.
The website also features a nice selection of tracking tools. Taking control of your betting affairs and knowing how things are flowing is important. Circa Sports allows you to monitor your spending and betting habits using the history options on your account page. You also have the ability to set spending limits. These features not only make it easy for you to manage your betting activity but ensure Circa Sports falls in line with Michigan’s responsible gambling regulations.
Sports available at Circa Sportsbook online
In writing this Circa Sports review, we noted that the management has promised there’s “more to come” in the future. We took this to mean more sports because the list of options available at Circa Sports Colorado (July 2020) was small:
There are likely two reasons for the truncated list of sports. First, Circa Sports Colorado was a new site at the time we carried out our research and, as such, may not have been running to its full potential. Secondly, the COVID-19 pandemic was still causing issues with live sports schedules. Therefore, there weren’t many events Circa could offer odds for.
These factors, combined with the promise of more to come, tell us the list will grow. With that being the case, you should expect to see the above sports, plus these favorites when it goes live in Michigan:
- Basketball
- Baseball
- Boxing
- Esports
- Hockey
- MMA
- Motorsports
- Tennis
Circa sports betting options
Circa Sports won’t rock the boat when it comes to betting options. Our tests in other states tell us that three main bet types will be covered:
- Straight bets
- Parlays
- Round robin bets
Straight bets are the ones you’ll be most familiar with. These can be made before or during events (in-play) and, at Circa Sports, they’ll be available for less than $1. Some of the most popular straight bets you’ll be able to make a Circa will be:
- Moneyline bets
- Points spread bet
- Props
- Handicap bets
- Over/under bets
- Exotics
In general, straight bets are singles. In other words, they allow you to speculate on a single outcome. If you want to string a selection of bets together and wrap them into one, you can do this with parlays. Also known as accumulators, parlays are great because the odds can be extremely generous.
However, to receive long odds, parlays come with an important condition: All parts of the parlay need to be correct. In other words, if one of your picks loses, the whole bet loses. Therefore, you need to consider your options carefully before making this type of bet.
One way to mitigate some of the risk is make round robin bets. This type of bet basically allows you to cover a variety of outcomes from a selection of bets made on two-team contests. Another way to reap the benefits of parlays but with slightly less risk is cashouts. We’re not sure if you’ll be able to make early cashouts at Circa Sports, but we know they’re popular around the world.
If you can make cashouts, you’ll be able to end a parlay early for a price. Depending on how your picks are performing, the bookmaker will offer you a cash settlement to end the bet early. If your timing is on point, cashouts can be a great way to reduce your risk and get more value from parlays.
Is Circa Sportsbook legal in Michigan?
Yes, if it receives a license. Sports betting is legal in Michigan and, therefore, any operator licensed by the Michigan Gaming Control Board will legally be able to offer sports betting. At this stage, the first Michigan sports betting sites are likely to go live in 2021 due to delays caused by COVID-19.
Circa Sports CEO Derek Stevens has said that he wants to increase his company’s betting and gambling interests. This has led to the launch of Circa Sports in Colorado, and that gives us hope it will go live in Michigan at some point. If it does, you can be confident it will be legal and, therefore, safe, secure and reliable.
Banking options at Circa.com
As a licensed Michigan sportsbook, Circa will have to contain a ton of security features. All accounts will be password protected, and SSL encryption technology will work behind the scenes to keep your data safe. Add to this continued regulatory oversight of Circa’s business practices and betting lines, and you can be confident that everything will be in order each time you log in.
In terms of payments, all funds will be processed and stored in the safest ways possible. Circa Sports will use protected bank accounts for player funds, and every transaction will be processed by a reputable company.
How to make a deposit
All deposits will be processed instantly and, if our intelligence is correct, you’ll be able to add $10 or more to your account using the following:
- Circa Play+ prepaid cards
- Visa
- Mastercard
- Pay with my bank
- PayPal
How to make a withdrawal
Withdrawals should be processed within 24 to 72 hours. If you use the Circa Play+ card, your funds will be available to spend instantly. Because it’s a type of Discover debit card, you can use it to pay for goods and services.
If you prefer to withdraw your winnings the usual way, we expect the minimum transaction to be between $10 and $20 when you use the following options:
- Visa
- Mastercard
- Bank transfer
- PayPal
Contact Circa sportsbook
Circa might be a relatively new name in the online sports betting world, but it has old school values. CEO Stevens wants a return to the days when bookmakers knew their customers by name. That might not be practical in today’s betting world, but it tells us that Circa Sports wants to be accessible.
With that in mind, expect a local team of customer service agents to be on hand 24/7 via email, phone and live chat. An onsite FAQ will also be available, and Circa will have representatives monitoring its social media channels.
About Circa sportsbook Michigan
Circa is owned by brothers Derek and Greg Stevens. Between them, they own three casinos in Las Vegas: The D, Golden Gate Hotel and Circa Casino & Resort (on the site of the old Las Vegas Club). In many ways, the Stevenses and, therefore, Circa are the up and coming names in the betting industry.
Circa Sports is a product of this recent rise in prominence. Building on what it started in Nevada and taking advantage of PASPA’s downfall, the company is looking to expand. It’s already launched a sportsbook in Colorado, and that suggests more states are pending. Michigan may well be on Circa’s list of targets. Therefore, you can look forward to everything we’ve outlined and more in the coming months.
